The next local business owner interview in our series features Jon Luster, owner and operator of Second Home Care. Second Care Home is what just what you’d expect, a property management company that takes care of your second home. Together with with his 30 employees, he operates three locations: Truckee, California, Incline Village, Nevada and Kona, Hawaii.
He takes great care in establishing customer rapport by interviewing each new client so that he can identify types – anxious, easy-going, detail oriented, etc. – that he can then share with his staff. He's interviewing them as much as they’re interviewing him, a nice position to be in. With some 400 properties to manage, that can add up to a lot of personalities to manage.
